Familial Cerebral Aneurysms

An intracranial aneurysm is a hernia, usually in the form of a small sack, in the wall of a cerebral artery. The main complication is rupture, as this leads to a subarachnoid hemorrhage.

The disease is considered as "familial" when at least two members of the same family have an intracranial aneurysm.
